Just the rear ? If upgrading rear shocks, you must also upgrade front shocks at same time.

Standard shocks are pretty good, but are let down by the soft springs. An Upgrade to Eibach springs solves that.

Alternatively for Adjustablity on a budget there is the KYB AGX Shocks, with Eibach springs.

are front and rear shocks the same or different specs?

Personally I'd recomment Tein coilovers - got them on mine and they are awesome - only problem being they aren't for the tight of budget!!!

bit pointless then when he only wants to spend £200!!!!

I improved the handling of my car by getting some new springs (30mm lower and 15% harder - custom made by Mike at MJP), new standard shocks on the rear (fronts are OK still), a rear strut brace (Cusco) and spending the money on decent tyres. I haven't adjusted the camber so it is running with 2 degrees all round and it sticks to road like glue.

thanks for the info guys.

Ivan, how much did your setup cost?

tight of budget than get the import spec ones - they are cheap. UK spec ones over £135 each due to the actuator for hard setting.

Just fitted KYB's all round, coupled with AVO springs and VERY impressed.

Just a quick one about the springs from Mike, and not slagging them or him off one bit, just note they are not progressive.

kyb ajx with eibach springs are awesome :D

or you can go stock new shocks and eibach springs

thanks for the info guys.

New rear shocks are from the Z centre about £80 delivered

The strut brace can be found on the internet for £100

Tyres are the ones that cost the money: £450 from Protyre for UK standard spec sizes (225/50 16 front 245/45 16 rear) :Goodyear F1's on the front and Continental M1's (porsche fitment) on the rear.

New Springs were from Mike at MJP eastern Autos (see trader's section) made to my specs around £180 delivered - 15% harder and a 30mm drop gives exactly 1 degree extra camber (which is just perfect).

When you have done that pay someone for a 4 wheel laser wheel alignment and you will have a car that handles very very nicely.

how much we talikng for standard shocks all round and eibach springs all round as well supplied?? anybody , ??? thanks

Approx £180 eibach springs

approx £250 full set of OEM shocks

I had a full set of new front and rear KYB GR-2 Premium Uprated Shock Absorbers off e-bay a couple of months ago for about £185 from the states delivered. They can be used with standard springs, I've found them to be really good.

Just picked up 2 rear shockers from local Nissan dealer, £75.30, part no. 56210-33P25.
