Right, hard as this is i may have to sell this car as my circumstances have changed and I dont think its going to be feasible to keep it much longer...so options..

what does anyone think of the 200sx? Is it much cheaper to run petrol wise and insurance? Also it will be newer i guess but the alloys will HAVE to go as any standard jap alloys are rank. Can you get alloys for these ive seen so few...

Not ideal as i much prefer the 300zx shape but something in me doesnt want a NA, im not convinced it will be much cheaper...

Its either that or a

Golf Mk2 (used to have one they were like a roller skate)

OR a

Fiesta XR2 (obviuosly a good nick one), but now im typing it i feel embarrased so maybe not.

Whats anyone elses ideas?

OOOhhh noooooo......

Don't do it...it can't be that bad...

A Golf or an XR2...I would rather have my nuts crushed...eeuurrgghhh!!!!!!

If you must do it,,,buy yourself a burberry hat and start drinking Kestrel superlager...

lolol

If you're after something dirt cheap with a bit of a coupe look about it, then have a look at the Toyota Paseo. Nothing particularly earth shattering about it. But it would make a nice daily runner. 1.5 I think. Fit some nice rims to it and I'm sure it'll look quite slick.

Agree with Angus about the above cars.

I have a Vectra for sale if you need it...actually the missus does 2.0l 16v...R Reg..going cheap (which is good cos they usually go vroom vroom)...lol

Get a mark 4 Honda Prelude, amazing handling (great feedback and no body roll), ridiculously cheap, ridiculously reliable (the one I had hadn't been properly serviced for 10 years and I took if off the road because of a worn ball joint, not engine failure). Also the Vtec's are an amazing drive, when you hit 6500rpm you won't miss the turbo so much.

I agree, I had a 2.2VTECH import and in sport mode it was a fun drive. Looks good with some aftermarket wheels too...

ohhh youre all right...i cant bring myself to buy all this old pap...and now ive started looking at nissan skylines...i cant make my mind up. the reason im looking at them is that they are low mileage a lot of them and look generally in better nick than 300's..so less to do i guess..

dont assume a slightly newer turbo japanese car will be any differant,my mate has a skyline r33 gtr and has replaced more components on his car in a month than i did in 2years of having my z,any performace car will require lots of maintance and lots of money ;)

Insurance is cheaper, petrol similar, I've spent more on my (excellent condition!) 200SX in 10 months of ownership than I did in 2 years of zed ownership.

Had an S13 200SX for six years. Like Shrimpy says, not that much cheaper on petrol than a 300, if any.

I'd seriously consider the Prelude - probably no cheaper on fuel but a better built car so cheaper to run.

ok ill have a look at the prelude thanks chaps..quite like the idea of a digi dash board...then i can seal my destiny of being "david hasslehoffed"...

cheers chaps...

cheap car. cheat to insure. goes well.

Im gona get so much greif for this.

Skoda.

your breif wasnt image

so..prelude..digital dash and manual..not many of them about are there? were these only imports? surely the import ones would be the autos...

theyre growing on me but those seats have got to go they are rank..
