Wanted to get a few opinions of you guys on a new paint-job!

 

A few ideas in mind but the one thats really stuck in my head is Lambo Orange

 

Thought of a blue/black flip aswell

Nice pearl or deep metallic colour.

If you know that Laborghini that was peach colour in a film with Jim Carey then i'd say THAT ONE!! :D

I am gping for Black & Blue flip / May also have air brushed Marble with an air brushed Zed Badge.

 

The Lambp Orange would look good we would all see you at the meets before you got there....

if you want the real lambo orange done then speak to steve at bodyworkplus, he will be doing my re-spray and i was able to supply him with the correct paint codes for ppg paint etc and the genuine lambo paint names also.

 

the flip orange they use is called: Lamborghini Murcielago Arancio Atlas Mic 2CT. it uses a white base, copper, copper pearl, orange,orange pearl, pearl laquer. all that to make the real paint matey, its not cheap but its the right mixture and is exactly the same. you can import the paint from ppg in the states if you give them the following number

 

Orange metallic Arancio Atlas Mic 2CT *0058

the colour on mine will have a gold touch in there also to get the colour on my sig

If you get a light / bright colour (like orange) ica can look better if you get the strip between the targas ( ie the 'roof') done black.

Thats what i wanted too. Not enough blue though :(

cheers pk1, now i can start pricing it up - the only thing i will be paying for is the paint anyway! The car's sort of a project for myself and one of my mates (who happens to own a body shop) so he will spray it if i buy the paint.

Good call & good luck. I have to decide in the morning if I want the marble over the top of the Black base coat. If not it will just be Black & Blue flip. Bet I have a bad dream about the Zed....

With 99spec lights, front bumper and spoiler, some subtle skirts and a nice bumper extension...

 

I think personally you should go for something like this. With the right wheels (namely 18 or 19" dished split rims.....) like this....

 

 

 

...and a chromaflair paint..... will not look right with the wrong wheels and kit IMHO. Keep it subtle.

 

 

 

well the paint can be sorted out by steve if need be, the mixing has to be precise.

 

if your still not sure give steve a call he can explain the paint to you, but is not a simple set up for this lambo orange, there are poor quality pre mixed versions but they look really crap, and the flip is terrible however the correct paint will look like the following picture.
