How do I get the other drive online so that I can download more p0rn?

 

Master and slave and all that cack...me main drive is only 6Gb but the other one is a nice 40 Gig jobby.

 

Have tried to get them both working in tandem before but with negat success.

 

One piggy backs the other, I get that bit but is there owt int tut BIOS I need to mess with?

 

Don't blame me for asking such basic stuff, I only worship UNIX OS's and that's it! LOL :D

In the BIOS, (assuming you have one on each IDE) you have to set the Master as AUTO. If you have the 2nd drive as Slave in the 1st IDE, then you should set Primary IDE second drive to AUTO...hope that makes sense...

 

Once done you should be able to see, format and use the drive in Windows...

have you set the jumpers on the drive to master and slave?

 

also, the closest connection on the ribbon to the mobo should be hooked up to the slave drive. bios should recognise it.

 

TBH, if you can get a ghost or cloning prog, copy the 6gb files onto the 40gb drive and use that as the master other wise it's going to be slowwww.

 

are you running Win XP?

Yeah XP Professional but can't find me CD's so the OS is gonna have to stay on the smaller drive, I just need the 40 Gig drive for extra storage/download space.

All these porn vids cause a bit of hassle with storage eh...lolol

I aint no expert. But this is what I did. You have already been told top put the master drive (jumpers set correctly) at the end of the ribbon cable and the slave 2nd (in the middle nearest the Mother board) Then if you disconect the slave drive and turn the computer on and let XPoo run then shut down again. Now re connect the slave drive and switch on. I did all this acting on advice and it worked on mine and still is. Apart from a suspected virus. But thats another story. when i restarted, the slave was the secondary drive (F) and the master was the main drive ©.
