NZR Rover V8 help needed.

Mate has a TVR Chimera with the 4.0 V8. Its suddenly gone a bit pear shaped though. Symptoms are

 

-It sounds like its running on 6 cyl

-Smell of burninig

-no power

-Exhaust pipe glowing red hot. (Big pipes that bend back underthe engine to goto the back of the car)

    When a cat fails some times it breaks up and falls apart,where is the cat located? :rolleyes:

    No idea, he said he didnt know it had cats, but by the age of car i guess it would.
