Forum search faulty

Craig/Nico

I have been just using the search. It has only been returning partial results. When I manually found the posting all the search words were in there. If I search for all my postings it only finds a dozen or so. Somethings not quite right. If you search for "grapevine" in the gen forum it doesn't find it - but it's there in the post. I have all the right search criteria selected in the drop down menus.

Maybe it's the hyper-phase linear thrust converter? Probably not tho. Over to you.

when the forum does a go slow, its normally because too many people are updating the same threads. a bit of file locking goes on, and the thread file gets corrupted.

its the UBB software at fault i think, although we seem to suffer it more than the 200 guys, and its the same software on the same server....

i will rebuild the threads

Damn those file locking dilithium crystals. Knew it had to be something like that. I thought maybe some peeps were deleting their old posts when they wouldnt show up on a search. I live and learn. Thanks Craig.

And while your at it - Clean my car, make my tea and do the garden.

I'll get me coat.
