hi i have notiec that when i fill my zx up its hard to do the nozzel clicks off all the time no matter what postion i put it in take ages to put a few quid in and than i have a smell of petrol for a day or so any ideas thanks

im not 100% sure but i think the jap spec 300s have a different size petrol filler cap, mines a jap model and the same thing happens. :rant:

 

also with regards to the petrol smells this is a common fault. check all your petrol pipes in the engine bay, chances are that alot of the jubilee clips will be loose.

the petrol filling neck sometimes rots from the accumulation of mud - mainly on UK cars. Get underneath and clean it all up and have a look see...

ive got a jap spec and have no trouble filling it up just put the nozzle half way in and its all good never get a smell of petrol in the car
