ok imho i would like to see the majority of members from this forum cope with the semi brain dead morons who live in this city poncing around in there saxo vtr's racing everything bragging about how many near misses theve had it makes me sick and to think that a large scale publication is adding fuel to this fire but as has been said it makes perfect business sense to cater for the market and yes maybe at some point in the future the "chavs" might become responsible but i will just have to wait and see

Max Power is the biggest selling car mag in the UK and pretty much a 'superbrand' - at least in terms of motoring journalism.

I don't think you can blame these people on Max Power.

 

There's folk like that in most citys.

 

I live in Peterborough too and I don't think it's any worse than Nottingham and other places I've lived.

I aint stading anywhere near mac's car when its running, i think standing near the turbos will be similar to standing too near a the front of a jet engine, probably with similar consequences :D

sounds about right should of used macs tubs to power the jet car at the pod

with the right gearing, what is the theoretical top speed of your car mac? You going to get it into a wind tunnel to fine tune the aerodynamics? And can i borrow it? :D

I got into cars by reading lax power, trevs, last car and dreadline; but now ive grown up a bit (just a bit mind!)

 

ive still got the max power with macs feature, and a revs from about the same time with a similar looking red z driven by a postman??? anyone know who???

 

that, combined with steer from the rear first bought zeds to my attention, and its only since owning the z that ive changed my outlook on cars, and cant see me owning a different car for a long while. and others have done this too - one who had a featured civic (groan) now owns a mint chevy impala, and a 3 series show car owner is now after a classic mustang.

 

ill be the first to admit that i used to spend all night in car parks and drive like a coont in my 54bhp fiat seicento with blue neons and bootful of ice, but ive grown out of it. (and even ditched the spinners on the z!!!)

 

even though i now detest the whole 'boy-racer' scene (probably even more so than some on here), it is a big business for the magazines, (chris has made some very good points re this)and as more 'legal cruises' are arranged, i think the number of novas etc on local streets will start to dwindle.

 

as for comments re the jap only magazines - i dont think banzai is much better in that respect, and if you check the cv's of the writers/editors etc, im sure you'll find that jtuner, banzai etc have staff from some of the 'chav mags'
