hi all
i changed my maf with a good working one yesterday, all seemed ok pulling strong no hesitation and only a little back fire when backing off the throttle
drove home from work today and it seemed to be jumping all over the place (like a missfire) and getting loud cliking noise from down beside the accelorator pedal, but no hesitation when pulling away (which is good)
also when engine cold if i touch the throttle while clutch is pressed in (or in neutrall) the revs drop a couple of hundred revs before slowly creeping back up (it also sounds very inductiony like its sucking more air than it should be) the missfire usually starts around 2000 rpm upto about 3000 rpm (whilst driving ok and when in neutral) after 3000rpm its like the engine jumps into life and its like this before 2000 rpm
is it the maf or something else
all problems occur with my old maf on, only with new one there aint no hesitation when pulling away and there is a slight improvement in running
thanks in advance
allan
