Well it's been over 2½ years and 18 Op's since i had my accident and i have found out this morning that hardly any of them have worked!!

 

2 weeks ago i had a Tomogram (ancient CT scan) to see how my bones were healing/knitting, apparently i couldnt have a CT scan due to the amount of metal in my leg LOL and it would cause lots of reflections etc!

 

Today i got the results of the tomogram, and they couldnt of been worse, basically, the last 18 months (ish) of recovery have been a waste of time, as no bones have knitted to any others!

 

What this means is i have to undergo a quite big op again asap to put artificial bone around my femur (thigh bone) to strenghen it up again also, my surgeon wants to put some stuff in there to make it harden quicker (I did laugh and say i didnt want any viagra, he didnt think it was funny :) )but i cant remember what its called.

 

Soooooooo, basically, im now on the Urgent list for surgery, so, anything in the next 3 years then i guess!!! :(

:cry: totally gutted for you mate. how frustrating that nothings happened after all that time. i bet they'll get it sorted this time around tho and you'll be back on your feet for good. no stunt work tho :nono:

Oh, that doesn’t sound nice, it was something I used to be quite afraid of when driving bikes. Let's hope you come over it and can start driving motorcycles again :)

Between me and you, I had a go on a mates 250 commuter the other week, but dont tell anyone LOL! Also had a play on a mates GSXR1000 Trike, but as he's got no legs so then for me its real easy to ride :) But shhhhhhhhhhhhh. Mums the word!

Oh, I've always wanted to try a trike, but they are very rare over here, seen only one over here in my whole life :)
