dont know if you lot have ever used em but you can get *ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING*.

 

Get a torrent downloader (for example "Azureus" (Google it to find it).

goto mininova.org or isohunt.com (theres thousands moreout there)

 

Search for what you want - download the small torrent (info) file and Azureus will fetch the program/video/music/whatever for you ;)

still P2P...and still dodgy...

Whatever dude, but in my opinion there are too many bad things out there to be subjecting my PC to. I would also not be keen on giving disks to people if it was downloaded from such an unreliable source...

true, but there are CRC sites for checksum values to make sure they havent been tampered with and review sites (Nforce.nl) that tells ya if they're bad rips etc.

 

Oh, and obviously just make sure your AV is up to date ;)

More hassle than it's worth and crc sites only work if the software is listed..and not all software is...

 

I get mine from reputable sources...

On lime wire, i tend to only download things with a 4 or more rating that 40 or more people have, its not fool proof obviously, butit certainly adds an element of reassurance. I got office xp from limewire and its fine, but like Angus says, p2p and torrents are not always going to give you whats in the title :(
