Roughly how long should turbos and other engine components for that matter last generally on a properlly maintained car?

Could they be expected to last indefinately or is there a point where even a well cared for car will need them or other bits replacing?

The reason I ask is that I have seen, amongst others, a UK 92 TT for sale with 89K on the clock. The add says imacluate car with FSH and loads of bills.

Thanks

Nothing lasts for ever and it all really depends on whether it's been thrashed / well maintained. Some people go through turbos in less than 100,000miles but others (eg mine @ 120,000, famous last words) go a lot further. Check the smoke test in the faqs also buyers guide http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/
