What's this pipe for? Revealed after oil cooler swap...

Hallo All,

on picking up my Zed after an oil cooler swap, I spotted a pipe I hadn't seen before. Anyone know what it is?

There are more pics of the new oil cooler in place here . Cheers - Gio

if its a uk car perhaps its the old pipework coming from the oil cooler before which are now not in use,due to your aftermarket one

is it an auto or manwell. if its an auto i guess the oil from the autobox has been plummed into some cooler?

Greg: Arrr that makes sense - can anyone confirm for sure?

It'll be on full view at this weekend's rolling road day (thanks jay)

yep im almost 100% the design for the oil cooler pipes were a bit drastic, and were made up with a series of bends,id imagine that with the new cooler, instead of using the unreliable pipework that corodes on uk cars, they have run x2 hoses ;)

Why dont you use the standard oil pipeing then? I thought it would be simpler things to do.
