Occasionally when i brake hard, my o/s/f wheel locks up briefly. It seems the ABS is a little slow to respond on that wheel.

But i have no warning lights. How do i tell if i have a sensor problem or something else ?

Craig.

Sounds normal to me Buddy,

The Z ABS dont seem to be totally anti lock

which is always fun on a sports car, just look at the 3000GT ...NOT!

are you sure it is normal ?

I got similar replies on the other forums, but, i have had quite a few ABS fitted cars, and have been known to brake a little late on occasion ;-) but i can't remember experiencing this before in dry conditions.

In the wet, yes, but not dry.

But, if it's normal, it's normal, and i will just try to not attract attention to myself in that way too often....

testtttt

Hi,

I just read the service manual ABS section.

It does not mention anything about only one wheel being activated.

If the warning light does not come on after travelling for 20+mph for 1 min+ then there is no ABS error code to check. The system checks the sensors and actuators on all 4 wheels seperatly.

Make sure your ABS light comes on (at key position 2) before starting the car. (to test the bulb)

If one side locks up more than the other I would check the brake wear and fluid level.

If braking generally seams less on one side or during ABS I personally would think about bleeding the system for air.

Also, the book indicates the Nissan have an ABS test unit that hooks into the ABS unit. If you take your car to Nissan, you should request it's used?

Good luck...
