Had one of those kenwood dvd headunits with built in 7.5" touchscreen fitted and working was fine, then this morning , there is a message on the screen saying : Disconnected cable found - Please confirm a connection line . Ive checked all the leads seem to be ok but also noticed my amp in boot wasnt on either , checked the inline fuses on the amp and on the amp itsself and they are fine , Amp is earthed fine too but still no lights on it . Any ideas ??

have u checked ignition live to the amp ?

the amp is wired via zero guage to the battery and fuses are fine , earthed fine but when stereo is switched on the message appears but not sure if this is stopping the amp coming on , need to do a voltage meter check i suppose dammit

is the remote lead (usually the blue one) deffo connected at both the h.u and amp?

checked the wires to the hideaway unit ( brain ) and seem ok too ??

theres a little reset button on the left side of the system use a pin press it once or twice and it should reset

make sure you get the serial number of the unit, that way you can make sure they dont just try and fix it and palm it off on you when they return it, you can check it then to make sure its a new unit

if the unit is within it's first 30 days from fitting you can demand they replace it not repair it but unfortunatly after that 30 days it the manufacturers descresion as to weather they repair or replace the unit
