Can anyone give me any tips/advice

as im just about to tackle removal of heads on 92 TT, also any simple obvious mods i should make while doing the job.

Anyone out there done the Job if so how long did it take? Wheres the cheapest place for a good Head gasket set

Can't advise on the cylinder head removal but it's probably worth replacing the oil stem seals and reseating all the valves following removal. Forget about head porting / polishing or gas flowing unless your already running over 600hp snf want that bit extra when running flat out.

As for the head gaskets. I personally would buy the Nissan OE recommended head gaskets from Courtesy Nissan in the U.S

These would be the minimum requirement for the tt engine. Any alternative to these would only be necessary for high boost applications and then it starts to get expensive. I know that Greddy do a pair of head gaskets at well over £300.

Good luck

Thanks for the advice i`ll replace seals as you suggest

Mike

Thanks for the reply Steve i did a compression test on 2 pots only 0.5 bar i`m tempted to change Motor & Keep 1 for spares

0.50bar??

Minimum would be 120-130psi.

Sounds totally knackered if you only got 0.50bar on comptression test.

I think Mike Fenney has a spare motor.

Ring him on 01277 374201
