hi guys can i rack some of your brains my father in law has the above car .

this problem has happened before to which he paid jag over 1k to fix it. they put it down to the ecu (£700 )

 

its now 4 months down the road and the dam thing wont start again..he needs the car to get to and from work so are there any common problems with these cars with regards to not starting as he cannot afford to put it back into jaguar this side of xmas

If its a Pre Ford Jaguar then the main problem is in the name. I have had a good few Jags. All older ones series III etc. and they have all been a nightmare. The most reliable one was the V12 double six Not exactly a JAG? but the same as and that was faultless for 3 months but made the 300ZX look economical. I still love Jags tho' for what they are: A true british luxury car.
