SE Nissan

Hi there.

Where is SE Nissan located?

I have a Stock UK 1990 300TT and I need to do the belts and I was going to consider a Engine/Turbo rebuild.... plus possibly go for it and do an upgrade to something around 380BHP.... coupled with whatever is needed as brakes/gearbox/some body extras...

does people in this forum have a good opinion of SE Nissan? (I'm in Derby anyway)

or who else would you suggest...

surprise surprise I need a garage where they do:

a good job

no-rip-off prices

thanks

New Maldon in Essex mate.

I had my engine rebuilt there and I know loadsa other peeps who have had rebuilds and extensive tuning work done at SE!

Granted, some people will not have the same high opinion of them as me but everyone has had a bad experience somewhere at some point in time.

If you're in Derby I would also suggest getting in touch with Hiteq in Wigan. I've not had dealings with them as yet but most of what I've heard is good.

If you wanna get in touch with Pete at SE goto the Contacts and Links section on here and you'll find SE under there. Or goto...

Getting hold of the right people to speak to can be a bit of a challenge though so depends on how patient you are!

Pricing for engine rebuilds and major work is usually fixed and you end up paying what you were originally quoted which makes a change from being told a cheap price which has then doubled or tripled by the time you settle!!!

SE are at Maldon in Essex, they could certainly do what you want but they are not cheap and there may be someone closer who are equally good.

SE telno is 01621 858856, they are located in Maldon Essex.

I've got a lotta bills from SE (albeit from the previous owner) and my car has never missed a beat - granted they are supposed to have removed the limiter and it still cuts out at 140mph but never mind.

I'd listen to Tim and Iain who both have spent lots of bucks there, as has K4$H. And Adrian Elephantutu. But he is not on the forum LMAO!

But it is a mighty can of worms to open on rhis forum LOL mentioning SE, I think the general consenus is they are spot on, if a little pushed when it comes to their customer front end!

Can I just point something out...SE stands for Silvia Engineering!

Engineering = Specialists in Engine work

Which in my book doesn't mean being instant experts in ECU's, de-limiters or anything else other than engine and gearboxes.

If you want your engine rebuilt, tuned, turbo work done etc. then they are very good at what their company name implies. wink.gif

I will happily mail you.

I hope you lot are very very proud of me biggrin.gif

as i managed to keep this thread sane biggrin.gif

hey guys,

yes please mail me...

if they are specialised in something.. and maybe not so soudn on other things I can still use them for those things they are good for.. and the the rest somewhere else...

so please mail me...

thanks

I do not want ot get my car wrong (if possible smile.gif).. so every help is good

thanks

Just to maintain an even keel here, there are some responses to Warren's issues posted on this forum by Pete Rosenberg, the boss of SE Nissan. Try a search under Pete R
