american power or jap?

I have been on the dog and bone with zed world. They advised me that there are a few people putting Chevy V8's the 5 and 5.7 engines in there cars. This has got me thinking about NOS and should I spend more money on a NA or should I just scrap the engine and go for a new heart transplant.

I can easily get ahold of a vette 5.7 tpi engine and 6 speed gearbox. Being in american car clubs for a long while (and being american) but in brittian. I feel that this is a good option.

What do you lot think?

if ya NA already then the V8 swap would be be a logical route. Sticking NOs in a NA, well, should of just got a TT in teh first place lol.

I have been toying with the idea, but putting tubs on it, maybe taking a smaller V* and making it less lazy.

Manta v8,s doing this at the mo, he,s fitting a 350Chevy and Supra 5 speed box .Should go quite well !!  So far its been quite a simple swap and its soooo much cheaper to build a high ouput engine

Have a word with either JohnDixon, MantaV8 or Friday (apologies if I missed anyone else). They are the members currently doing the V8 NA conversions.

you could all ways sling a RB26 lump in then tune the *****x out of that.....
