Veilside

Hi All,

I contacted Veilside concerning a 300.

Kind of glad i didn't judging by some of the postings on here..

I have one question though.

I heard that Veilside in Japan and the States is a very good Tuning Company with a good reputation.

I take it they are in no way linked with the company in the UK?

And if this is the case are these people allowed to trade under this name?

Just a thought..

You're right, they are in no way connected with the US/Japanese tuning company of the same name..

I presume they can get away with it because Veilside(Japan) isn't registered in the UK as a company, hence, anyone can use that name over here whether Veilside like it or not..

How dodgy is that???

The only reason i was interested in looking at one of these cars was because I had heard of the name and thought it to be good.

I bet many others have done the same..

Thanks to everyone who has saved me from potentially blowing my cash..

Well I don't know how they're even trading as a UK company because I've just been on CompaniesHouse website...and guess what? No company registered under the name Veilside!!!

Surprise surprise with Cilla! LOL biggrin.gif

So I would say they are trading illegally hence why they only have a mobile number on their website.

EVERYBODY STEAR WELL CLEAR IN FUTURE!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

don't forget Lala biggrin.gif they may not be a limited company or could be trading as.

AFAIK partnerships and sole traders do not need to register with companies house but I could be wrong smile.gif

Nevertheless from what i've read i have to agree - stay well clear.

Well..for what its worth..i have emailed Veilside in Japan..

Im not expecting them to be too fussed but im sure their reputation over has suffered a bit with the name...

anyway they know now...

Yep, you're probably right mate to be honest. I had a book on used car dealing and the guy who wrote it stated that buying and selling cars without a premisis is classed as a hobby! Therefore no need to register as a legit business and in theory exempt from paying taxis aswell! Bummer!
