if you look at the back of the engine there are 2hoses one is inlet to heater matrix one is a return hose,what you need to do is close the loop so remove both hoses and find a hose that wil go from one pipe to the other therefor no water will reach matrix but just go back to the engine itself if that makes sense,just need to find a sturdy piece of hose or copper pipe that will go from one to another causing a loop! :) those cold mornings from now on lol

you can pretty much guarantee its the matrix the only thing other than that which is doubtful but if you have had a lot of rain then targas could be leaking,besides if you dip your finger in the damp bit taste it to see if its sweet like antifreeze a litle wont hurt LOL normally the core of the matrix corrodes due to poor antifreeze qualities or just bad grounding or age so get under the dash board and keep ya misses warm :wack:

That's what I'm worried about mate, the red one's even got heated seats! She can't nick 2 zeds off me in a row!

 

Apparently she called the AA and the bloke actually knew something about zeds, said the matrix was common on these and spent an hour and a half fitting a half decent bypass. :)

 

I'm sure she'll try and tlk me into having the one without the heater, still, good excuse to start stripping it out for drifting......

...well you got your money out of the AA then - well done. And you are wrong, she can nick 2 Z's from you... I suggest you cut a hole in the floor just above the cats - that should keep you warm...
