Some absolute cunnuck...

... Has been buggering about with my front indicator clusters! I just can't understand why, and I'm hoping one of you lot can shed some light on the situation!

Basically they have wired an extra sidelight bulb (& holder) into the indicator AND sidelight wires and covered the bulb up in black insulation tape and just left it tucked into the bumper!?!?

I just can't see why they might have done this. For some reason my drivers side front indicator is acting as a sidelight which looks odd to say the least! On top of this the indicators flash twice as fast on the drivers side - AND I have no brake lights cos my fusible link has blown :(

My light situation is fooking weird at the mo!!!!!!!!!! Not to worry though

:duffer: Ahhh

yours imported??

I think some of them from abroad have an extra orange driving light built in, like on lorries, that stays on when lights are on, and i could be wrong, but i think these wont pass an MOT therefore someone has just taped over them solving the problem. I had a US import motorcycle and all the indicators stayed on with the headlights, and i had to rewire them for british MOT, so could be the same for ya Z

HTH matey

Yeah? TBH the orange sidelight looks kinda cool - The weird thing is, mines a UK car!

hmmmm Mines a j-spec, it has the holder there for light, but no wiring, maybe last owner thought it was cool so put one in, but only did it for shows or summit or covered them for sellin purposes, did you buy with 12 months MOt, if so it likely they were covered to pass,

I;m toooooo new at this to give defo answers, but HTH mate

I reckon your right mate - Never thought of that!
