I've finally got my car back, after being deprived of the flying banana for 6 months!

I'm not sure who is more pleased, me or Ryan.

All seems to be sweet now, but I think I've got a bad earth problem. The boost gauge works fine sometimes, then occasionally it'll be hard over to the right - until I put the lights on and bingo - it reads normally. The fuel gauge never seems to move, but on a long run it slowly crept up to quarter full (there was over half a tank full in so it's still not good).

So the question is - how do I go about finding this? Is it just a case of making sure all the earthed lines are making a good connection?

Or do I just put up with it and smile that I'm back in the zed? :p

oil pressure gauge wont work as the lead from the sender has been chopped off :smash:

put a request in wanted section for a set of new clocks UK spec if poss,as i think you cluster is more likely to be at fault,at least check the plugs to the back of the clocks theres 4 in total so might be worth checking them

Aha, thanks for that.

So that'll be the oil pressure reading zero then. Maybe time for an aftermarket jobby.

I've just been out to give it a once over and there's a very dodgy looking earth strap to the rear bulkhead. I might try the old jump-lead-earth-test to see if that cures it.

After that, it's open the dashboard time.

Now where did I leave my tools?......
