Pub Meets

I'm a new member.

I am still in the process of selecting a Zx so am open to help & advice.

I notice from the WebPage that the club have meets at various venues (mostly circuits) but not that frequently, I wonder if groups in various areas have evening meets in a pub for a chat and giggle.

I live in Aylesbury (some-one has to), I'm, lets say not in the first flushes of youth, the car is in answer to midlife crisis. I would enjoy meeting up with some likeminded people over a jar (the wife comes as second driver). Last club I joined was an off road club full of spotty kids and no-one would speak to us as we had a superior Japanese vehicle, not a Land Rover in need of repair every 10 miles.

Any meets around Aylesbury ?

Welcome mate.

Your miles away from me but so is everyone else, but most members are from 'down south' and the london area im sure you will soon meet them but its a bit quiet this time of year with the weather and all that.

Try and get to the big meets this year like JAE at Billing, Trax at Silverstone and Max Power live (Dont know where that is but im going to help Johnny and Tooley drink their pile of cans biggrin.gif )

Roy,

Careful m8, I've got a Land Rover too! Having said that it hasn't moved for 2 yrs so you might have a point. wink.gif

Keep an eye on the meet section.

Tim

Sorry Tim

No offence intended, hell I've got people who drive Landrovers who I call friends. It was just the club that wasn't friendly, the members did not like foreign mounts.

Thanks for the reply

Roy

Thanks for the post Paul

Silverstone and Billing are quite close to me and I intend going to the meets there, I assume I will be welcome even without the appropriate mount, I currently drive a Honda Accord. I also want to go the Max power, I saw a bit about it on TV, but I don't know when or where, believe it's at NEC but they are not listing it on the WEB nors anyone else.

Hope to see you at some time

Roy

lol you sound a lot like my dad, he's 52 and the car was the answer for him. All his friends had bought supercars/bikes so it was only natural for him to grab his youth back out of a madass car like the 300zx biggrin.gif

My dad also had the same attitude about land rovers, we had a pajero import before the zed biggrin.gif

Hmm welcome to the Forum/Madhouse/Boxing-Ring that is 300zx.co.uk Roy!! smile.gif

Its great that you got here before you buy the Zed, its the best place for advice and help there is!

Meeting folks and talking about the cars is a hoot, at our last mini-meet (in Poole) we had the motley-ist collection of Zed-Heads imaginable wink.gif After the usual chats/meal/drink/photoshoot we all decided to go for a cruise (lord knows where to!) and it was a glorious sight... well until we got split at a set of traffic lights and one half buggered off to god knows where and spoiled the fun wink.gif wink.gif

If you want any advice on buying just ask - I can help in a limited way, by virtue of my first Zed being an absolute ringer pile of shite and my Second Zed being a peach smile.gif The diffence in the two cars? - This Forum.

Nuff said.

I live in Aylesbury too! Got a red ZX with Kahn alloys. I should have it fixed pretty soon (Seized brake caliper)! Would be cool to meet up at some point :-)

Sorry for not replying to your posting.

You're goin to think i'm a right dawk, a day or so after your reply in the forum (Pub Meets) then I went in to find the layout changed and all the forum inputs gone except that days. I assumed everything had crashed and all the existing inputs wiped out. (here comes the dawky bit) it was only this evening I noticed the page numbers at the bottom right hand side and started clicking on them.

Anyway it would be good to meet up and talk ZED, suggest a time (I am fairly busy) but when are you free.

Did you get your brakes sorted.
