10 Z32s of various types in California (mainly LA)

4 Z31s in LA

2 Z32s in Texas

After other comments I really wasn't expecting to see that many, but the ones in Texas were a real surprise. I'm not so sure about the whole tan interior thing though... seems to be quite common on American cars. The hire car some of my colleagues had was a Ford Taurus with a tan interior and the centre console / stereo highlighted in... matt black... mmm, nice. Honestly it looked awful; who on earth do they get to design these things?!?

I've had a Taurus on hire over there. Nice drive actually. But do agree with the colours. Brown tweed wasn't too nice IMHO. Mine was a ranger topper too, but didn't come with leather.

Did you see how big the centre consol is in the Taurus? Strategically the same size for a super size maccys. The cup holder was bucket sized too!

Standard issue on yank tanks! Why anyone has to drink 3 litres of coke in one sitting is beyond me!

Yeah, *MASSIVE*. And all their cars seem to have unbelievably large cup-holders (unlike my zed - not a single one). I had this Ford Explorer that must have had at least 10 cup holders in it - 6 of them just for the front seats. Completely bonkers.

I also had this Chrysler Sebring convertible with full leather and all the kit inside. Not particularly quick, but a really nice car, if perhaps a bit old-mannish, and it wasn't too bad if you dropped the autbox into 3 (or sometimes L) for overtaking (had PNRD3L). Only had a 2.7 litre V6 though, which I seriously doubt puts out anywhere near the 220bhp of the V6 in the NA zed.

just come back from florida and i sawclose to 20 300zx but not one turbo (no spoiler on the back and no vents in the front). 2 240z and tons of 350z i think the americans know good taste (well sometimes)

I'm always stunned by the interior of most US cars, generally look like they were designed in the '70's - even the modern ones .....

Yeah, very old-fashioned. What's really weird is the number of them that have a carpeted (yes, carpeted) dashboard. Imagine that in tan. I guess it's probably a good thing if you're in a hot climate because it means you don't burn your hands if you touch the dash getting in/out or whatever, but it looks truly terrible.
