anyone help? i bought a really nice non turbo jap import today. its 95% excellent but i need to sort one or two things.

1. braking from high speed it shudders. not violently. noticeble at low speed too. kind of grabs then releases then grabs. does it sound like warped discs?? can they be repaired/skimmed?? who does em in the north west??

2.4th gear whines a bit at low speeds when you start to put your foot down. all other gears are fine? any ideas?

disc without a doubt is hot.

 

as for gears, are you powering on at low speed, or high.

if low speed, it could simply be your in too high a gear depending on the noise your getting.

warped discs are the usual suspect of brake judder,worn suspension components can sometimes be at fault,but money on warped discs

thanks guys. will a normal garrage be able to do this or does it have to go to nissan?

whats the cost of discs? will they put news on or can they be machines flat again?

Tension rod bushes.

If your disks were warped you'd feel it slightly at low speeds too.
