Fookin hell....

Just had a Krazy MoFo of a time here....

Gem disturbs me from the laptop to say theres a fire...

I thought "yer....probably just the kitchen hob again"

nope

She shouts out.."No really...Its a fire"

I get up to a cloud of fookin smoke thicker than ur nans undies.

Eventually find the kitchen and a Toaster illuminated by the flames and a wall unit about to be engulfed and my eyes start watering and nose and throat burning...FFS... :headvswal

That was my Deluxe silver toaster...with a added bun warmer :x:

Any how.....

I put the mini fire out and start to De-fumigate the flat with a 20" fan...Tidy up the crumbs....

off of the floor...

Stand up....

WACK :wack:

Clocked meself on the Drawer handle and went black n white...legs went...before staggering to the sofa and tipping back some more Cider.... :duffer:

 

Alls well now...apart from the lump on my head

must add....wasnt my wifeys fault...the toaster locked on to the heat mode and wouldnt turn off....back to argos me thinks :mac1:

That was so funny!!! Thats the third time somethings got set on fire while i've been in the kitchen cooking in two months!!! Any one wanna come round for tea we've got flame grilled burgers tomorrow!!! :wack:

The was a high risk of it being a lot worse as neither of us realised until i got up and went in to the kitchen to get me toast and saw flames coming from the toaster. Was quiet scary at the time. It must have been burning for a long time as the amount of smoke was crazy... it just sort of made me think if i had not realised sooner or steve had not noticed itwhen we did it could have got alot worse in hardly anytime at all.

I was coughing like crazy and my daughters room was full of smoke. :cry:

yup...what didnt help was the fact that the statory permant hardwired smoke alarm hadnt gone off... :headvswal

Glad you're ok mate - must be a night for it as our cooker just went on fire! The other half said she could smell burning, looked at the cooker and there was a little smoke coming out of the grille door, I opened it and flames bellowed forth. F'kin thing wasn't even switched on!
