Just had an E mail from autotrader.co.uk

There is a scam going on where you get an E Mail from "Autotrader" asking for your details to update thier system. "Its not from them" people are using other peoples accounts to sell dodgy motors. Just thought I would let you all know.

I see it happens a lot online,i got one,not from Autotrader but from Paypal asking to update credit card details, turns out it wasn't them. You could tell the email didn't look like a genuine Paypal email...needless to say it was reported!

Never trust the e-mail address you see on the screen, it takes 3 seconds to alter the sender e-mail address when you send a mail. And never, ever, click on a link directly in the mail program, even though it would look like a genuine address. Copy and paste it into your web browser.

I've had that one too - it looked like a scanned in newspaper clipping. Deleted it straight away.
