Soz if this is a dummmb Q but..

 

When I bought the car I found it had boost jets and bleed valves...the question is, since I suspect the ECU is stock, what benefits will I get from an uprated ECU?

    It will make it safer to run the additional boost and you will get a little more performance. It's reasonably safe to run say 12psi on the standard ECU, but it would be better if it were upgraded, you could then raise boost to about 14psi and get even more power !!
