hi

new to the site

im looking for a 4x4 car (allready have an MR2 GTS) and ive seen some ZX's advertised with 4x4

what is the best spec to go for?, is there tiptronic or 6 speed versions?

what are the stock power outputs and how much power are the engines good for?

are they reliable?

sorry for all the questions lol

1.. z's are only rwd.... you have been looking on ebay at the 4x4 zx's lol

i think that 4x4's should be left for rally cars and dirty sloggers imo of course...not for drivers cars

2.. they come in 5sp manual or auto

3... 220 na

280-300 twin turbo stock

4...depends if its looked after and its serviced regulary

depends what you want from it really i have a swb na manual cos i use it every day to and from work ect...

fuel consumption on these cars is rude but what do you expect from a 3.0 v6

na 18-22 mpg

turbo 15-20 ish

lol, ive got them mixed up with GTO's :wack:

the ZX is an awesome looking car though....

deffinatly one of the best looking cars imo.

always have a couple of grand nest egg for it tho because you have to remember at the oldest they are 15 years old.

As above but I get 25mpg on a long motorway run. As low as 10-15mpg around town. Make sure you test one of these if you are thinking of a GTO. These are much more of a drivers car. The one I have now has been 100% reliable, my last one was 100% unreliable! so get a good one, preferably off someone on the forum. Or one thats had all the usual bits replaced already. Dave
