sorry about this, i know Clifford is dirt on here but its driving me mad!

 

When i got the car i didn't get any instructions for the alarm so i just used the on/off button. there isn't realy a problem with the alarm but i'd like to change some settings and i dont know how.

 

I've had a look at the online manual for my model but it talks about entering Valet mode using your pin number via a rocker switch mounted on the dash.

 

I don't know what the number is and even if i do i cant see the rocker switch anywhere. All i can see on my dash is an LED and next to it a 2-button rubber switch. I thought this was the switch i needed but the manual says it's a 3-position switch whereas mines only 2.

 

I want to turn on the silent arm/disarm and the auto door lock/unlock.

 

I want to be able to wash the car without the alarm going off every 5 minutes.

 

And one other thing i think is related to the alarm, there is a small antenna stuck to the inside of the windscreen passenger side - what the hell's that for?

Hi, small antenna is to pick up the signal from the remote, the rocker switch is two way, usually hidden in the footwell out of sight, looks like a small switch with a star one side and blank the other, the features you want to change could be done via the remote, cant remember exactly what buttons you press to do this but the online manual should say if not ring your local dealer and they should be able to tell you.

You change the settings with the valet switch, however you need to know the pin, the good news is this is usualy part of the units serial number when installed unless its been changed. i'll find the info on what part of the serial number it is.

 

What alarm is it? i have the concept 600. and can get both the fitting manual and also the usermanual.

The switch you described is the one i was talking about, its a 2-way and one side has a star symbol, the other is blank. I got confused when reading the online manual cause this says its a 3-way. Anyway, i tried entering Valet mode from the key fob by pressing the little side button twice followed by the large button 1. The lights flashed once (no sound) and the LED in the car stayed on...is that Valet mode?

Yes that is, however you need to enter valet mode via the switch as you then need to hold down one of the buttons to enter setup mode. it can not be done with the remote

i have the cable and the software to adjust cliffords, but u still need the code to get into it
