i am new to the forum so if this sound stupid excuse me.

 

i recently bought a import 300. 1993 auto

it drives nice but i feel some improvements are still in order.

mostly the basic to increase the drive

cos the petrol a killer and so is my insurance ..

can anyone recommend?

Don't own a Z yet myself so I can't give any advice. But welcome to the club, these guys really know what they're talking about :)

I think you need to explain exactly what you are wanting from your Zed ?

 

To help the car run a bit better you need to inprove the breathing of the car ie: Induction kit, free flow exhaust and if you can de-cat it aswell :D

This should help you along your way :cool:

Also keep her serviced nice and regular ;)

I believe you should get an oil cooler. The auto is the weak link.

i realise it be much better to get a ZED manual

the auto seem very slugglish

so goin to put it up for sale :)

Performance is pretty much identical, so if yours feels more sluggish then its most likely to be a problem with yours. Most likely cause is that it could be in safety mode.

 

You should run an ECU test to check http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html

 

Safety mode restricts boost to around 7psi and retards the timing.

Its very easy to check for fault codes. Takes 5 minutes.

thanks alot. i was just scare that i might do something stupid and damage the car :)

zen garage, i certainly check that out too. i need the stupid limiter off. i was kick of the road cos i could break the brarrier :(
