OK After a long decision I decide to spray my car back to black and have a top cost of multi-colour mettalic flake (Glitter) over the top!!

It's the day before it gets started and I am having second thoughts now :(

Has anyone else had this done, and if so any pics please :D

I saw a Vauxhall like that and personally it did not look good.

It paint looked like what you get on cheap knock off toy cars.

I aint too sure Trin but if they lay a heavy glitter flake over the black wont it make it a sort of grey colour? or at least lighten the black. I have thought about a nice lime green with heavy metal flake with gold graphics. then the drugs wore off. LOL.

Anyway dont join the darkside the go slower than us "REDZEDS".

But, I am not putting on a heavy coat just a light dusting to break up the black :)

Agreed, metaflake paint is very 'fairground'. Can't stand it myself, looks dreadfully tacky. :(

Trin, next time i'm trying to keep up with you through Coventry in my C.A.S kangoo, give me a wave!!!

Did you pay extra for the grout? :D;)

Sorry to be the one to say it, but I do like the glitter effect, considered having it done on mine, but it took so long just to put normal paint on, im glad I didnt bother!!

PLEASE Don't dont do it!! It will look tacky, it's a Z not a bloody Vaxhall Nova!! Go for some flip effect paint instead with 2 colours of your choice - that will look awesome.. I promise you will REGRET it if you go for that fairground look... :hurl: :nono:

I also have got a soft spot for glitter and I think it looks OK. Especially with loads of thick shiney laquer. deep thick shiney laquer that is deep enough that it makes you wanna dive in? I often like a good dive. BUT! thats another story??????

had a line in it something like

she's a women in Glitter

and she likes it up the ???????

If you paint it with the heavy metal flake and put a large rear spoiler on it. People will think its escaped off the doggems and try to ram you all the time.

ERMMM don't think I should dwell on that thought whilst in a full office :slap: :nono:

No it's fine HONEST!!!

I went to see it last night. He did one of the wings for me first so that I could make sure it was what I wanted.

But the dusting was so light that it just looked like the pearl black that it used to be until it hit the light and only then was it obvious it has glitter on.

Looked quite nice actually

So am I, as my car is in for Black & red tick paint but they said today if it gets scratched I will have to re-spray the whole car as they can not blow it back in as it will not match up.
