Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced exhaust that is not too noisy.

without getting into the whole X/H/nothing pipe debate again.... ;)

I have a Mongoose, which was well priced, and is fairly quiet.

My main two concerns at the time i bought it...

I think there are also at least 5 other owners that i know of that have Mongoose too.

But, everyone else feel free to chip in ;)

Personally though, i like the look and sound of Jez's Greddy PE.

I really like my mongoose, but I wouldn't say it was particularly quiet!

Around 2000 revs there is quite a lot of resonance and I find that people tend to look around as I approach to see what the noise is. :-)

Craig, now about that X and H pipe thing - lol

:-)

I will try not too mention the Huge Exhaust Write up thingy i did in the Tech Section a while back, there are the plus and minus points of all the big exhuast in there... Ooops

X/H Pipe claws at the ready :o))

get the big gun jobbies that come with the stroesek kit like mine johnnys and mine. who cares about the noise i dont as my ice more than deadens the noise from the pipes lol

i have hks super dragger and it is awsome not to loud and the car sounds really nice

Mongoose systems are complete stainless steel

2 outlets either side. Good value for money.

As a cat back system they have quiet a deep note. Obviously if you are planning to de-cat the car or increase air flow i.e induction kit then the sound will increase.

My personal favourate is the new Blitz system. We have fitted to a 300 which came over from the Isle of Man with the Wings West Kit on. I beleive Paul had his car at TRAX 2000 at a trade stand. Anyway this system not only looks the B*****S but fits well and sounds great. Submarine from the forum caught a glimpse of this exhaust and was very impressed. The Blitz system is cat back. Back box Stainless Steel and Middle section treated mild steel.

HKS can offer a couple of systems. They again are not too noisey ask MARK lol!!!

Stainless steel back bock and mild steel middle section.

The system which Tooley, Steve Ellerby and myself use is a complete stainless steel system X pipe design. Now I have had this on the car for about 4 years along with front pipes and never had a problem Yes it is rather load, but it does produce a great deep quality sound.

Give me a call for more details

Mine only makes that noise beacuse of the lack of cats, without it's dead quite and I did once (in Holland!) try to start my car when already running... and it's all Steve and Adries fault with there 200000DB exhaust systems!
