i've been using this for the past twelve months on my windows and this stuff really does what it says. when it rains the water just glides off the glass.

I'm in the glass business the last ten years and this really is the dogs b*llocks! Apart from making your zed windows look brand new it also protects against scratches and normal everyday wear and tear. even the targas look like new when you put this stuff on. Can't recommend this enough. If anyone has problems with the link let me know. A 250ml bottle costs about 12 quid , but WELL worth it, and will last you years.

you only have to apply this every few months, and no , never seen my windows cloudy. As a matter of fact it reduces misting by 40% :)

pmsl!

Most of the glass products are polymers that bond to the screen filling in the teeny weeny ( better than saying molecular ) surface deteriations in your windshield.Over time and if not applied regularily you can get uneven clearing of the polymer from the glass surface due to the wipe of the wiper.

small world

we deliver all the glass to CAREYS from glass works in eggborough ,leeds

I use Rain X, it's about half the price but can't say if it's better or worse but I love driving in the rain with no wipers and watch the water beads run up the screen. it's fascinating and also probably very dangerous!!!

Gotta agree with Yamie dog -

Rain Ex is visually entertaining to the point of distraction.

Does the job.

how many apps does a bottle last for?

Long time! i've been using the same 250ml botlle for a year and it's still half full!

Done a few windscreens, plus done all the windows on two cars.

Still get half a 250ml bottle left.

I suppose if you only did the windscreen you would get maybe 20 applications?

  • 10 months later...

guys i need some help with this ,i bought my second z about 4 months ago and is got water staines on the glass everywhere, the car has been kept outside for about 6 months never washed or driven so now is got staines on the glass ,i've tried all kind of glass cleaners and window polish and still nothing ,if anyone knows anything good for this please let me know

I clean windows as part of my tinting.

Outside only - glass has a compound curve (curves top-bottom AND left-right).

Do not do this on the inside.

Spray glass with soapy water (I use Johnsons no more tears baby shampoo, but thats just so I don't leak tears every night). Fairy liquid is fine.

Scrub to a lather with a WHITE backed scouring sponge. NOT GREEN backed - they are for pots. The white backed ones are for plastic baths - they do not scratch glass.

Scrape glass with a stanley blade in a scraper holder (B+Q sells them). After th first few scrapes you will notice that you are right back to smooth glass. You will be scraping off EVERYTHING that is sitting proud of the glass, so you'll hear and feel little cracks from the scraper.

Repeat the soapy water thing.

Dry with Bounty kitchen wipe or similar.

STOP.

You are done.

Inside - leave out the scraper, do the rest.

Quick, cheap, easy.
