NZR Please help !

Do any of you ntl broadband users on here have an ntl : 250 modem? (It's the small blue one most people who got ntl broadband since feb will have one, also it says so on the bottom of the modem). If so please would you be able to locate the drivers on the cd, zip em up and then send them to me on msn or via hotmail please? I have been searching for hours and hours and cannot locate them online, and miss astrassuck thought it would be a good idea to throw the cd out the minute i pulled it out of the computer the first time :wack:

Thanks in advance :D

Mate you dont need the CD, if you connect the modem to an ethernet port network port and set the network connection to DHCP. It will work first time.

Most PC's nowadays have an ethernet port (RJ45) and it's a bit more responsive than a USB connection!

Give it a try, connect a network cable into the back of the modem and then connect it to your PC ethernet socket (if you have one) It should work first time.

(If you haven't changed it IT will be on DHCP as default)

Cheers mate, this is how i do it at home, but i am asking for my missus's laptop which has no ethernet port and seeing as USB works fine an ethernet car is an uneccessary expense. Also I have the cd for an ntl: 200 not an ntl: 250 modem at home :(

Should have specified that in the first post lol !

Get the make and modle of the modem. It wont be an NTL modem. It will be something which they just put their logo on.

Loot at the writing under the modem see if it says what it is.

The modem only has "property of ntl: " and "ntl: 250" written on it, that it :( Also documentation online doesn't help me find out the make and model either, other than ntl: have released it as their own. I was always under the impression motorola made their modems for some reason, dunno where i heard that but seems to have stuck. No help from motorola website either !
