Hi all.

I have been looking for the thread about the amount of engine oil that goes in a Jap TT Auto, but to no avail.

Can anyone help me out??

7 litres? At a guess? Maybe 7.5.... I'm sure someone will know!

Found this thread...but like every oil quantiy thread I've seen it gives conflicting answers !

3.7 litres (with oil filter change) sounds about right though. I know I have just under half a litre left of the 4 litre container of Castrol RS I used last time.

I guess the best way would be to put in 3.5 litres...let it settle for 10 mins, then top it up as required, leaving it a few mins inbetween.... till its the right level on dipstick.

thats the amount of oil you put in the old auto box!! It states your lookin for engine oil amount ...do not put that amount in ur engine m8 !!! ...off the top of me head about 3.2 litres into the v6..

No way! My BMW 325i's took 7 litres! How come its only 3-4 if they are 3.0l engines? Sorry, I know I sound thick!

Thanks all

I got a bit worried cos the mechanic at the garage said it took 6 litres!!!

Just rang him to say its about 3.5litres. Makes you feel like a right plum telling a mechanic how to do his job, but dont want him to damage me zed.
