Hi all,

I'm looking to source a turbo 200zx to take to record for possible inclusion into a street racing game I'm working on.

One of two process will the used to record the car.

1) The car will be mic'd up in variety of places using suction mounts and tape, cable ties for the engine/induction areas, and will be driven around in certain styles to capture the correct sound.

2) a rolling road session at Dastek, in Fife (Scotland).

If anyone can help, either with a car or a contact, I'd really appreciate it. Preferably, these vehicles should be slightly modified with at least aftermarket exhausts/induction since I need to record sounds which are "bigger" than the onscreen visuals, so they sound good through nasty little TV speakers. I'd also be looking for heavily modified versions for the 'upgraded' cars in the game.

Please email me direct on mark.knight@vissci.com rather than IMing me. Any other questions, again please mail me or post here....

Thanks,

Mark.

dammit... I of course meant a 300zx, but there doesn't appear to be an edit button.

Thanks,

I would say use a Non Turbo. They actually sound better than a TT as there is less restriction of the exhust, and then add a turbo whistle on later :D

I would be happy with that. You guys are the experts on these cars :)

I have a non turbo, and dont live too far from Dastek. :D

Scotty, chuck me an email will ya - mark.knight@vissci.com
