Is there any way I can see on the Z if the trip meter has been rewinded? I got a quite good offer on a ’95 Z TT which is only driven 108000kms even though it has had three or four owners, and now I’d like to confirm that this really is right.

you would probably have to remove the dash to see if the seals are broken on the back I believe.

Not all cars have seals. Some do have security screws though, which would be damaged/missing/replaced if it's been apart.

Okay, so the only way would be to take the dash apart and look if something i missing/broken? I'm planning on asking him to give it to me over a weekend for testing if its as good as he says. Is it a big project to take apart the dash? Does someone know if the '95 Z have sealed screws?

No sealed screws but look around the back part as it is white and often dirty finger marks can be seen, sadly the mileage is VERY EASY to change, with the unit out it take`s less than 5 minutes to alter the mileage.

Having said that the car itself is the biggest clue to the mileage, look at the underneath, the suspension, the inner and outer sills, the drive train , infact everthing this way a total picture can be formed along with the condition of the car inside, seat bolster, steering wheel rim etc.

Thank you very much Jeff, sad that the mileage is so easy to alter.. It should have some sort of thing that pop up if you rewind it, as some cars have. Btw, the seat does have a hole on that normal place on the driver side, is it hard to fix? Can you just change that part or are all the leather pieces sewn together?
