Hi There; I am planning to move abroad from Ibiza Spain to the Uk in the coming months most like will be in New year; I have a doubd that is confusing me; when I get there, I will be taking with me a VW Corrado16V wich I would like to sell once I am there since I want to buy a Nissan 300ZX SWB; my question is; what is the lowest insurance prize for the NISSAN 300ZX? just with the basics, like thieft and fire or robbed? also would the UK insurance company make a discount on me if I take a letter from my spanish insurance stating that I have been a long years good driver with no accidents on my behalf?

 

Also, I am confused do you guys pay like a tax for driving the car in the street once a year? we do here what is it called in the UK?

any other things that I must take and know would be appreciated cause I am totally lost, you know moving toa different country is always a hassle,; I expect and hope to get some advices from you guys;

 

and finally I forgot, you think I´ll have much problems selling my VW Corrado 16V in the uk being right handed steering wheel? is there any rare company or private dealers that would buy it? what do ya´ll think?

insurance will depend a lot on age - 30+ & you can expect to pay around £450-£500 id say. younger may be quite a bit more!!

not so great here to be honest .... with your car shouldn't be a problem selling it but wouldnt it be easier to just sell it in ibiza?

my insurance is £650, SDP+C use every day driver and yes, road tax is around £160, plus a full tank of optimax is around £60 for roughly 250 miles give or take

Paul, is that road tax you are talking about is what you call: Vehicle License MOT?? wich is 155 approx /per year? or is it i would have to pay the insurance, Vehicle license, and also road tax? I hope its the same thing road tax and vehicle license!

you have to pay road tax at £155 (which is the vehicle license) a year, mot every year which the price varies and car insurance
