Hands up who's had a 60K service done.

I'm just getting this sorted for mine and I'm trying to work out if it's worth changing the tensioner. It's £250+ if I buy one from Nissan UK or $125 from Courtesy.

If you've had a 60K belt change did you get the tensioner renewed?

Comments or experiences please

Sorry to bring this to the top again guys, but just read it all again and something ain't quite right.

Jeff has brought to our attention a number of times the answers to a couple of the niggly problems with Zeds and the simple but never thought before improvements, now he could have just told us that he knew how to do these things and left it at that, but no detailed instructions were given, WHY ? cos he's an active member sharing what he knows with his friends, were these solutions easy to come by ? from my own experience i'm sure a lot of time, effort and some expense was incurred, so he decides to go a bit further an offer a part time service, only with one condition which is clearly advertised on his site should you care to look, "only to registered members of the 300zx forum" that says it all to me, loyalty to his friends with built in reduced costs, some are very cheap !! sorry i therefore cant see the fuss, i'm sure if the admin guys here wanted to charge "ACTIVE" members for putting details of services that are connected with a posting, there would be a difference in his prices and no FREE advice or detailed instructions on how to save yer self a shed load of dosh doing an easy job the hard way, if he acted in this way he would be no better than the usual companies out there.

In my case and thanks for the support, i search for and either find or get manufactured what people here post just can't really find or aquire. Yes i then advertise here, BUT you guys pay less than anybody else i sell to, you get free posting too, rest assured, what i have sold here, i have sold outside for more ! Before someone pipes up about Johnny not doing what me an Jeff do, bear in mind Johnny some time ago WAS an active member, now his business has grown he simply does not have the time to post replys to threads daily, this i think we all know "the person you are calling" seems to ring a bell, but i know he still looks in from time to time.

So, is the answer not simply to put an advertising link at the top of the forum page to the sites of those who are ACTIVE members offering advise and reduced services or goods to MEMBERS ONLY, then not only will the threads be advertising clear, new or visting guests will see instantly who can be of service to them should they join, a kinda of incentive you might say !!
