made to measure suit on ebay - waist measurement?

I need a suit (to get married in).

 

A place on ebay does made to measure ones for £89.

 

I was measuring myself following their instructions.

 

I measured my waist at 36 inches.

 

I thought I had a 32" waist - all my trousers are 32".

 

Any idea why this is?

 

Should I order 32" or 36" waist?

    You might get away with stretched 32" jeans, but for a suit that doesn't look awful it'll need to be the right size - 36" it is !

    Go to a decent shop and get measured - but bear in mind that sizes do vary from shop to shop.

    Oh, and a made to measure suit for £89 :nono:

    Take a trip to your local gents shop and ask if they would measure you for a suit? they wont mind if they think you might be a new customer.

    Be careful though.....With the inside leg measurement.
