I down loaded the demo of Windows Vista, from the thread posted last week, and it's OK but seems a little unstable. The new black start bar at the bottom keeps reverting to white/grey (not even XP!!), and some of the new icons also revert to original. So I was looking for a skin set, or whatever I could find, to make a nice change on my PC.
To cut a long story short, I downloaded a program that can set it all up for me. I did this and was impressed with it, but found out I could change the Logon screen aswell, which I did a couple of times till I found a decent one. This morning I found another one that I thought would be perfect.... untill i came to turn the PC off................ it wont turn off, or go into standby, or into restart!!!!! I couldn't even delete or change the logon screen either. I had to press the main button to turn it off before I came to work today.
Can anyone shed any light on whats happened, and what I could do to rectify it? Please   I don't want to have to re-boot everything.
