Hi guys, got a nice new 300zx Jap import. Its an amazing car but this weird bing bong noise comes on just after 100KPH and its a bit annoying. Is there an easy way to stop this coming on? I plan to fit a converter chip to it so it reads in MPH so maybe this will solve it?

I did try a search, but the links to places that tell you anything were dead so would apreciate anyones advice.

Cheers :)

Perfect! Thanks for all the help guys. Dont suppose either of you know where I can find a good cheap converter chip with good instructions? or is it worth getting someone to do it for me?

Thanks again, really appreciate that

Hey andy I have a brand new converter and de-limiter (no more 155mph limit!) I was jus going to list it on ebay tonight but its yours for £40 notes. It includes full fitting instructions for the Zed and the little MPH sticker to fit your clocks for the SVA test. Oh yeah forgot the reason I have it was my speedo stop working and everone said it will be the de-limiter / converter you fitted. After buying a brand new one (the one I am selling) I found out it was actually my speed sensor that had failed (on the gearbox). So you can buy with full confidence. Mail me

Andy buddy, thats a good price to miss!!!

Could I possibly have 2nd dibs on this chip?

Cash, cheq, payPal available.

fwiw, if you put the speedo converter on, the alarm sounds when you go over 100mph, which is fairly useful actually for if you creep into lisence losing speeds on the m-way without noticing.

Hi all, just got back from a business trip, first chance I've had to pop on. Turns out my dad had got a converter for me off ebay anyway whilst I was away. Might have been yours?

Well anyway I fitted it today and it works fine after about 25mph but before that it just reads zero. Is this a common thing? or is it a duff unit?

Thanks for all the replies!
