Was thinking today while watching those poor desperate people in the US .

George Bush firstly. Since he's been president , through all the major terrorist attacks , natural disasters and wars he's involved in, not once....NOT ONCE has he ever come across as genuine on any interview he's given. Always looks a bit dim to be honest.Even watching him now on the news hugging victims of the hurricane, patting them on the back. He just doesn't look genuinely sympathetic.

A hurricane comes along and hits probably the most vulnerable spot in the US , kills thousands, makes him look very bad, and hits major oil supplies, one of mr. Bushes favorite things. Is it payback time for him?

I never usually give this stuff much thought (obviously, most of you will say!) and i'm not usually supersticious either. But hasn't the world got particularly nasty in the last couple of years? Or has it always been like this?

I'd say the world *has* got particularly nasty since the beginning of this millennium.

However, I wouldn't necessarily draw too many conclusions from Katrina along superstitious or religious lines, because these kinds of storm, even of this magnitude, are a natural phenomenon and have been building up in the Carribbean and hitting the Gulf cost for thousands of years.

It just so happens that very unfortunately there's now a large city in the way.

I have to say though, I'm nothing short of gobsmacked over the slow response of the relief effort.

Do you think the world is getting hottter...........YET??........... MR BUSH..........????

Nostradamus described the years 2005 - 2012 as the Time of Troubles.

funny you should say that - the 'Bible Code' says that a nuclear war will start in either 2006 or 2016. not to scare anyone or anything...

...but it did apparently predict the death of Princess Diana. (etc.)

Read a book years ago about Nostradamus, what he had to say about Hitler was amazing seeing as it was at the time, 400 years in the future, I think he also said London would burn down in the year 1666 and a loads of other things I have forgotten about, I remember at the time of reading it was hard to believe he could have been so right and so close in details.

No it was BUSH that did it, said it, then did sod all. :x:

I agree He seems like he dont GAF? Why should he? Sometimes it makes me wonder......Have the terrorists got a point. If so though. Why pick on us aswell?

B&B always used to stand for Bed and Breakfast. Now it stands for Bush and Blair or Bombs and Bedlem.

Oh! how the world has changed

It was George Bush himself! In area 51 they have made a huge hairdrier (in a secret pact with Rowenta) that can create huge hurricanes... It was started deliberately so he could force up the prices of petrol obviously.

Makes as much sense as 'higher powers' sh*te....

Natural Disasters happen everywhere - it's nonsense like 'higher power' deity worship that have started all the crap in the first place.

The sooner people stop thinking theres some beardy bloke wearing a dress in the sky all powerful and benevolent? the better off all 'civilisation' will be.

Read what religion is doing to Britain- http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/nottinghamshire/4209404.stm

Illegal in Jalalbad f*ckwit, not Britain. Sorry I'm on a rant........

I keep hearing this crud about Nostradamus.

EXACTLY what did he say about Hitler.

If he described a nastly little Austrian with a stupid little moustache in 1939, then I'd be impressed.

If not, it's just modern interpretations of a vague description.

All IMHO of course.;)

There are more 'extreme climatic events' these days.

I think it's just a nautral trend - we're still warming up from the last ice age after all and our planet has these big cycles which run over tens of thousands of years.

Sorry - I don't believe in Nostradamus, karma, pixies or anything like that.
