Hi Guys,

My name is Les, new to the forum and from Doncaster.

I have just bought a newly imported 1991 300zx SWB non turbo in yellow and it needs chips to deristrict and change from kmh to mph, just need a few pointers on where / who to buy them from.

I am convert from Porsche 944's and got bladdered at 160 in my 944turbo by a fairlady that just kept going! hence my search began.

I like everything about the cars, everything works and no rattles, looking forward to the weekends now!

Thanks guys and Kind Regards

Les

Get in touch with John Dixon from here, or Ryan @ Z-Tech in the traders section.

Or put a post in the wanted forum, I'm sure you'll have no bother picking a chip up pretty quick :)

Can probably help you out with the speed derestricter, as long as the car is a manual.

...either your clock on the 944 was way out or the Fairlady was a TT.

How much did you pay for the yellow swb na - it's just the spec I want (assuming it's got targa panels).

cheerz

had to be a TT to beat a 944 turbo a car a really wanted after i sold my 944 lux, handling on the 944's are brilliant. The 944 turbo in the 250 guise is as fast as a zx, apart from top end. Though its much easier to increase the performance of a zed against a 944 turbo.

...it's normally top end speed due to the superior drag coefficiency of the Z

Long live the Z.

In years to come the Z32 will be revered as one of the best etc etc by classic car mags - and you'll be able to say to your children ''I used to own one of those'' and smile - or should I say grin.

Or tell you children ive still got one of them, still cant sell the bloody thing lol

sellings got to be an issue of educating the masses. They don't know what we know ie the Z's got to be one of the greatest etc etc - especially for the price. People list the standard equipment and then the mods - almost noone elevates the car to supercar status. If it's capable of 175 miles an hour - SAY SO. Forget all the electric windows stuff - every car's got those.

Determine what differentiates the Z from it's humble bretheren - and sell that.

...and yor car looks great - love the different coloured nose.
