FCUKING LIGHTS PART 2 err quite long

i finaly have got my lights done with a bit of help (jeff)thanks m8

when i was trying to do the lights i obviously needed my lights on to do it so evey so often my battery went flat which i expected so i bumped it off started first time then carried on and when i had finished the lights i let it run on the drive for bout 5 min thought it would be fine so seen as though one of my kids have been nattering to go to LA bowle i thought we would go and wanted to go in z (havent driven it since b4 it started snowing) started her up put lights on (it was dark) only dipped beam though i wasn't trying my fullbeam yet and i was driving along thinking that the dials were a bit dim but carried on stopped at some trafic lights ant they were getting dimmer then all of a suden abs light comes on then after 10 seconds it stalles there is me thinking oh sh't and wondering which wire had i accidently cut mean wile my son pushes it on to the curb then after there was no trafic he pushes it and i try to bump it off it starts for long enought to get throught the trafic lights then stalls again so we pushed it in to a pub carpark so i ring the AA (fourth emergancy service my AR'E) to be told that i would be seen to in about 2 hours so i thought they can shove that so in my T shirt i went and weighted for a bus which was late and it was -2 i finaly manage to get home and bring a battery which was charged back took me 5 min to get all my tools ant things then 15 min to find my naffin coat i got back to the z took the battery off and of course what happends the alarm goes off so there is me in this pub car park under the bonnet with the alarm going off finnaly though i manage to get the old battery out and put the new one in and it started first time so i think it must have been just the battery that was flat in the first place toch wood

it was fine for the rest of the night and i hope it is now

and that is my rambling done for today

I had the same problem on my 200SX, then the new battery went flat!!

The engine was popping and wheezing all over the place, not good. So I called the AA out again (twice in 1 week) same guy again and got to the root of he problem;

1 wire (thick copper one going from altenator to recharge battery whilst driving) was green and corroded and only 1 strand of about 40 was attached, so I cut it back, soldered it and bought a new spade thingy fo the wire and re-attached it, loads of electrical tape winding and sealing later) I started the car.........

.....and it ran sweet as a nut and still is, guy from work bought my 200SX from me and the wiring is still peachy! (strange that because I fixed it!)
