Some have been known to leak but I have had no problems there.

I do clean the rubber seals with silicone oil each winter just to make sure though and I only ever remove the targas in the autumn or winter as I find it too hot late spring/summer.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Silicone grease seems to work for me too, I load it up every now and again when the weather deteriorates (quite often then).

But my a/c doesn't work, so my t-tops are off whenever the sun shines!

also what is the recomanded choice of year to go for,

for instance alot of people recommand getting a rev+ turbo mr2 coss it has a better head and block, the turbo holds its boost longer, better rear lights etc etc

Yes your welcome for the time we spent looking for the info for you

A revision 2 or higher (August 1993) onwards are better, no tweed trim + some better engine parts (PTU ect)

Lol Its all politically correct here now. What takemetothepub really meant was...I understand you could be a slow typist and by the time you finished you found two replies :)

Ive had 3 Zeds in 6 years and never had a leaky roof.

I've had my zed about 6 months now, and haven't had any problem with this. It's been outside in all kinds of weather as I'm sure you can imagine. I do have a cover for it that I use quite a lot, but that's more because after 3 hours cleaning it I don't want it instantly dirtied by foul weather, than to keep the water from leaking through the t-tops. If you haven't got a garage that might be worth a thought if you're particularly worried about it.

I've *never* noticed any water coming in whilst driving, even when it's been hurling it down on the motorway.
