August 29, 200520 yr To retension the power steering belt you will require a 14mm socket a 12mm socket and a 12mm rachet (prefered) or normal spanner. There is a 14mm bolt located behind the pulley wheel on the steering pump which is accessed by turning the engine untill the hole lines up with it in the pulley wheel itself, roughly around the 1:00 o`clock position, this 14mm bolt just needs undoing a couple of turns only. To the right and down of the pulley location is a 12mm nut which is part of the adjuster locking system again release this a couple of turns only. Now to the far left and down is a 12 mm bolt head which is the actual adjuster unit, this will need to be turned clockwise to tighten the belt. After a couple of turns check the belt tension by trying to rotate it along its longest length between your fingers, a maximum of 90 deg turn of the belt is the correct tension. Once happy with the belt tension, tighten the 14mm bolt (very important) and the 12mm nut, access to all of this is difficult with the fan and cowling in place but with a bit of perseverance it can be done. Good luck Jeff TT
