It all sounds very good...

well have to wait n see if anyones tried them or heard of them :)

Look decent to me bud, I believe JD has got one of those flywheels!

Just check on the shipping costs before you order thou ;)

"can hold 345rwhp"... not exactly mega but like you say Spinksy youre not running many mods (at the moment anyway ;) )

i may have gone for one of these (if they were any good) but i'd probably be running too close to 345rwhp for it to be worth it.

Understand what your saying Dave, but how many people are realisticly running close to 345rwhp in reality. The other thing to bare in mind is that I would like to use the car every day. Therefor I need a sensible clutch pedal. I could go for a stage 3 but wouldn't want to break my knee every time I get stuck in traffic lol.

I've absolutely no experience of this brand of clutch and never heard of them, that said, air some caution, for around 90 quid plus shipping and taxes you'll possibly get what you pay for and as your labour costs will be more than the product cost you don't want to be doing the same job twice.

As for the Fly, i used to sell Fidanza some years ago, reasonable units, but the number of UK importers of them has dropped a fair bit due to issues with warpage which RPS actually use as part of their advertising campaigns.

For the cash it's certainly a better bet than the clutch though :) as your not planning high power

Personally I wouldn't go for this type of paddle clutch as the tend to be a bit brutal, all on or off type of thing and lack feel. They are a good flywheel if its genuine.

   i bought one of these off you

TBH, i give my car quite a hard time & its been faultless :)

:p Don't worry mate, you've had yours that long now, if it was gonna go tits up it would have by now ;) Fortunately i only had 2 do it from when i sold em back in the good ole days :) Now i just stick with a brand that's got the best gaurantee on the market

cheers

Nice find mate :) I'm in the situation where my existing flywheel seems to have suffered from a stress fracture and lost nine teeth, so 1 time out of 20 I have to rock it to start! And with the V8 going in it's the perfect time to sort it. Even factoring in the usual approximate 27% to cover tax/charges etc it still works out to be a good price, roughly £244 all in.

Agree with you mate. Thats wexactly why I was only going to go for the stage 1 clutch. This is suposed to give much more hold than stock, but keeps the stock pedal feel for driveability. Besides I can get the stage 1 for less money than a stock clutch over here. ;)

luke sell the fidanza flywheels at the zed centre cheaper as i've got one with the rps max clutch kit from smithy works well

Richard

I've got a Fidanza flywheel and it's been great, gave a noticeable power increase and works well with my ACT paddle clutch.

Would probably go for the new RPS flywheel now though as you can replace the surface if it ever did warp and they are designed not to.

The RPS was only just available when I got my Fidanza and it was half price from someone who ordered the wrong part so can't complain!
